Out go the lights

I really don't like this time of year. I always feel like I have been robbed of an hour of daylight - it's still dark in the mornings when I take the dog out, but now it's dark in the evenings as well.

I've reset the time on the dozen or so things with a clock built in - the obvious ones like the central heating and the bedside radio, and other things like the weather station and my mp3 player. At least more things deal with it automagically - all of the various pcs and pdas in the house, and my phone as well, ticked over without any intervention.

I wish there was a way to reset Daisy the kitten's body clock - she was still demanding food at six o'clock BST even if the clock was saying five in GMT. I have found that burying my head under the duvet and pretending to be dead buys me a few more precious minutes of shut eye in which to wake up properly.

In other news, Leopard has gone on the Macbook with no problems - very swish and not too many major changes to worry about but lots of tweaks and improvements. That's two new operating systems in under two weeks, and both of them knock Windows into a cocked hat, in my opinion.
