HPV vaccination

If you are like me, you probably will have noticed the recent coverage of the case of a girl who died after receiving a routine vaccination against the human papilloma virus. Almost without exception the media have behaved in a way designed to whip up panic and over-reaction from worried parents. Even after the cause of death was shown to be an undiagnosed tumour the Daily Express is still referring to the case as 'Cancer Jab Horror' which is hardly likely to inspire confidence in anybody using Google to find out more information.

Malcolm Coles over at the Online Journalism Blog has suggested some sensible actions that you can take to redress the balance. If you have a blog or public Facebook account, then posting the following links to useful sources of information will push them up the Google rankings and above the tabloid scare stories.
