Top Five Zombies

Courtesy of Jim Jay

5. The traditional method for making a zombie involves a secret concoction of poisonous fish and rare root vegetables (which, according to Terry Pratchett, makes going to the chip shop in Haiti a real adventure). I prefer this recipe instead:

1 oz. Light Rum
1 oz. Gold Rum
1 oz. Dark Rum
1/2 oz. Apricot Brandy
2 oz. Orange Juice
1 oz. Pineapple Juice
1 oz. Lime Juice

Mix and serve with crushed ice. Drink. Fall over.

4. While you are drinking your Zombie cocktail you might care to listen to this infectiously catchy number from Fela Kutie:

3. Left 4 Dead. It was a close call for zombie themed video games, but this one just edges it by dint of focusing on team based co-op play and a clever system for adjusting the level of difficulty on the fly depending on how your team is doing. If you are going to survive you really do have to work together and it always feels like a real achievement to make it to the end of a level.

2. Shaun of the Dead. I suppose that Dawn of the Dead is the definitive zombie movie, but Shaun manages to be both scary and funny at the same time as well as having a killer soundtrack. This is an excellent mix of Zombie Nation by Kernkraft 400. Go watch.

1. My mate Steven is a nice bloke. He has a steady job, a lovely girlfriend and he plays in a band called Trioxin Cherry. On weekends he looks like this:
