A worthy cause

This is partly a plea to donate to a worthy cause, and partly a bit of self interest on my behalf - let me explain.

Nichole and some of her work mates are raising money and contributing their time to help the Barnardo's Sunrise Children's Centre in Kent. They have organised parties and quizzes to raise money, and a group of them are working in the centre for two days planting a sensory garden amongst other projects. You can donate money at the Justgiving page, and if you are a UK tax payer you can tick a box that means that they can claw back the tax from the tax man. Not only that, but Microsoft have pledged to match any donations, to double the final total.

So, it's a worthy cause, but where does the self interest come in? Well, Nichole runs an excellent blog, and if ten readers stump up a donation of any size she has pledged to blog every day for the next 90 days. I like reading her blog, so I ask you all to dust off your credit cards, blow a raspberry to the credit crunch, and donate a few quid for 90 days of blogging gold.

Thank you.
