It's been a bit of an odd week, all things considered.
Firstly, I was down in London for three days for a Microsoft Visual Studio Web Development course which was interesting but hard work. A lot of stuff to take on board, particularly with the error handling, security and data objects. Still, it should speed up my development work that I need to do and make it easier to roll out new reporting sub systems without having to install stuff on client pcs.
The famous quite charitable pub quiz has already been twittered about, but I'll just say congratulations and kudos to Nichole and co for raising £175 (which is also matched by Microsoft) towards the Sunrise Children's Centre. We'll not mention the team who called themselves 'Fuck the kids, we're just doing this for the Buck's Fizz' ... :-)
What else?
Today was a bit strange, with Jamie back at school and Alicia and Jan out of the house, so I had a bit of peace and quiet for the first time in six weeks. I spent most of the morning catching up on emails and running the sales forecast reports, before I had an email from the sales director with more changes needed so I had to do them again. Grrr.
Just time for a coffee, and then it's out to kobudo for more sai practice. Hurrah!
