Sheffield Fayre 2008

Gosh, I'm cream crackered.

If you've been following my tweets over the last couple of days you'll have had a flavour of the utterly surreal experience of camping out, drinking a lot of port, playing with swords and rubbing shoulders with 2000 years of history that I've had over the weekend. Acebest fun!

It was an enjoyable day for spectators as well. Sadly we didn't spot you :(

We were down on the basketball court at the bottom of the hill, but we didn't really do much on Monday - we were all shattered after the tournament on Sunday and the various alcoholic indulgences of the weekend ... :-)

I wondered what Confederate soldiers were doing in Sheffield, England. Seriously, what were they doing there??

I had a friend in college who was big into reenactments. I never went along, not being all that interested in Civil War history, but it would have been an experience.
