Best. Gig. EVAR!
Oh my word. That was ... amazing, with as many expletives as you care to add. Otway is as mad as ever, and Wild Willy Barrett was breath takingly good, playing several different guitars, banjo, fiddle, electric slide guitar, saw and wheely bin. They covered most of their joint output including THE HIT and several flops including such rarely heard gems as Murder Man, Gypsy, Misty Mountain, 21 Days, Last of the Mohicans and The Highwayman. Highlights included duelling banjo vs theramin, body talk with pocket loaded drum pads and Geneva with Willy sawing up his guitar in protest.
I laughed until I cried, and was stunned by the best virtuso live instrumental work that I have ever seen.
It really was the best gig I have ever seen. Nuff said.
