Have I said how wonderful my wife is lately? Not only did she successfully write a novel in a month, she also ran me to my Kobudo club Christmas dinner last night and she's currently cooking something tasty in the kitchen for a restorative brunch.
The meal last night was excellent - I went for the full traditional monty of soup, turkey and pud with brie and cranberry appetiser thingies on the side and a pint (or two ... or three) of well kept Greene King IPA to wash it down. Nom nom nom. By the time I'd finished I was just one wafer thin mint away from exploding messily. It was nice to chat to people, particularly some of the jujitsu lot that I don't often see on a Thursday night.
In other news, SWASH is up and running, and I think I must have registered within a couple of minutes of getting the email from the Prof telling us that registrations were open. Treats on offer include more handling sessions and a chance to view some original manuscripts. Hurrah!
In other, other news Super Mario Galaxy continues to be ACEBEST. In any other game, a two hour attempt to clear one level (I'm looking at you Sweet, Sweet Galaxy!) would be frustrating, but not in this game. Star Get!

Congratulations to Jan on the novel. That's a huge accomplishment!
