Well, this has officially been one of those weeks, work wise.
After the renumbering exercise last week, there were lots of loose ends to be tied up. The purchase ordering system, the bank details sub system, the invoicing and time sheet feeder systems. My PHB had thoughtfully gone off on holiday for a week, and our systems support consultant also went off for a month from Wednesday, leaving all of the troubleshooting exercise to me. Lovely.
On top of that, the pricing details vanished and had to be restored and rebuilt, the payments run didn't produce a bank transfer file, the invoicing screen refused to accept credit note requests, the invoicing import didn't pull through any non-numeric nominal codes, the chief accountant wanted the time sheet analysis report redesigning and there were at least twenty forgotten passwords for the expenses system. My to-do list threatened to overflow every day this week, and I didn't finish work until after half past six tonight. Now it's my turn for a weeks holiday - hurrah!
After walking the dog, I fired the xbox360 to play a bit of Test Drive Unlimited and burn off a bit of tension driving a Ferrari Enzo at silly speeds along switch back mountain roads listening to Vivaldi cranked up high. Fantastic fun.
Time for a beer now and the final of Big Brother ...

Now you mention Big Brother.. you only come out right at the end (a bit like the house-mates)
