Well, my 42nd year on this particular blue-green planet is well underway.
Yesterday was particularly fine. I started the day with a walk in sun dappled woods with the dog, and then back home for a nice cup of tea, cards and pressies. Yay! A new tee-shirt from my Mum, the third installment of Andrew Collings' autobiography from the kids, Hotel Dusk for the DS and my big present (wrapped up in Spiderman wrapping paper) - a brand new, shiney white Mac book. I can exclusively report that it's ACEBEST and knocks windows based pcs into a cocked hat in terms of design, ergonomics and ease of use. It's got a gorgeous wide screen, built in camera, a superbly accurate and positive track pad and around six hours use on battery.
After playing with my new toys, we drove up to Leeds for a sushi lunch in Little Tokyo. A wee bit pricy, but well worth it for the quality of the food. We mooched around the shops and I picked up an Orb remix cd and had a look in Travelling Man in the Corn Exchange, but they were in the process of moving premises so they didn't have much stock on display.
Home again, and the fine weather held so I fired up the barbecue, mixed some rather strong Tequila Sunrises before getting stuck into the Weisse Biers whilst munching kebabs and sausages. Yum. I was rather Mc Drunkersons and fell asleep halfway through watching Die Hard for the $hilariously_large_made_up_number th time.
I really couldn't have asked for a better day.

Mac FTW! Shout if you need anything :)
Can I use "time differences" as an excuse to say:
Belated Happy Birthday
