No fillings today, Mum!

I woke up far too early this morning, feeling like death warmed up. I felt a bit better after a couple of paracetomols and a walk in the woods and after dropping Alicia off, headed up into Crookes for a dental appointment. I got a clean bill of health as usual and booked my next appointment for March 2008 - crikey, where is this decade disappearing to?

Work has been frustrating today, chasing a software supplier about a list of outstanding support problems. They kept promising to return calls and then failed to do so, and then said that they hadn't been able to connect to our VPN network, even though we'd tested the connection from a standalone pc ... hmmmm.

I spent ages finding all of the documentation to sort out our tax credits claim, and then realised that all I needed to do was check that our income was less than £50,000 in total which I didn't exactly need a calculator to confirm. Still, at least I know that all my tax bits and bobs are in the right folder now.

Fencing was fun tonight. I had been entrusted with the key to open up, and for a couple of minutes I thought I was going to be on my own until Tam, Sarah, Rachel and Tony turned up. We warmed up and then ran through some drills on cavares, beats and schwarzes following on from the workshop on Saturday. After a coffee, we moved onto footwork and then spent the rest of the session playing monkey walk tag and bulldog. Good fun all round, I think.

Home now for a cold beer and an episode of Traffic Cops - yay!
