Blimey, it's perishing out there.
I managed to dodge the hail showers that have been battering us for most of the afternoon to take Barney for his statutory walk, but my teeth were chattering by the time I got back in. Still, I've now got my feet up and a nice cup of cappuccino from the coffee machine to warm my bones, music from the Wiisic server playing and a bit of time to catch up on blogs 'n' stuff.
Jamie is off on a week's adventure holiday with school at a PGL centre somewhere in Shropshire and the house seems very quiet without old episodes of Top Gear playing on at least one of the tellies in the house. He looked very grown up dragging his case behind him this morning, packed with enough pairs of pants to last him a couple of months at the usual rate he remembers to change them. I'm sure he'll have a great time.
In another entry in the "Gosh, they're growing up/Doesn't time fly" files Alicia had her interview for the college she wants to go to in September this morning. It hardly seems credible that she's nearly finished with GCSEs and A levels are now looming on the horizon. It'll not be long before University is on the cards at this rate.
Righty-ho, I'm going to take advantage of my unlimited time on the Wii and play a bit more Zelda - last night's session was a strong contender for one of my all time gaming highlights with a battle on horse back against weird orc like creatures mounted on giant boars, culminating in a joust on a burning bridge over a ravine. Flipping fantastic stuff.

Ah, you're only a little bit behind me! It took me days to get through that little bit, and now I'm totally stuck on a bit a little further on that needs precision jumping. :(
