Olives in the sunshine

It's been quite a productive day on the whole - I managed to tick two biggish jobs off my list, including finalising the new purchase order request spreadsheets with some nifty conditional formatting to highlight cells requiring an input, based on entries in other cells. I may have made a mistake introducing the purchasing manager to the concept of macros attached to command buttons. His metaphorical eyes lit up and he said something along the lines of "Great! All of my spreadsheets are going to have buttons on them from now on!"

I had a very pleasant diversion at lunchtime with a visit from Loops and Shullie and a trip to the pub for a glass of extra cold Guinness and something to eat. I can recommend the Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese bruschetta at the Crown and Cushion - yum.

Home to more work, a walk in the woods with the dog, followed by yet another call from the boss with some niggly bits and bobs to sort out before I could settle down to listen to Heresy on Radio 4. Another beer in the garden now with some jalapeno stuffed olives to munch on in a tapas stylee.
