After fighting off a horde of animated hands with consummate ease, we made the mistake of just checking that one door we hadn't opened yet and unleashed a seriously tough emerald ogre on the party. It killed one of the party and nearly did for Ramen the fighter before we managed to trigger the magic word (using a serious chunk of spellburn) to transmogrify it back into only a moderately tough normal ogre. Very nearly a TPK.
