Gonna wait till the midnight hour ...

Just add about three hours to that - not fun. Nuff said.

Excellent Horizon last night on black holes - well worth watching on iPlayer, if you can. Not much that I didn't know already, but the example of the link between the size of galaxies and the size of the super massive black holes at their core was a fine example of an amazing scientific fact being communicated with a simple graph drawn with chalk on a blackboard. There are times when flashy animation and lush soundtracks get in the way of simple science.

I had fun at work today using a nifty little utility called Wink which captures screen output and turns it into a flash file that you can embed in a web page. Very handy for things like interactive tutorials and I knocked together a rolling demo of our web app that we can leave playing at trade shows.
