End of an era

Well, that's the last trip to Dudley over and done with.

Even with perfect weather conditions on the way home and minimal traffic, the journey was still over two hours on the way home (and considerably longer on the way there with an accident jamming the motorway before I'd even gone five miles). I'm still going to have a daily commute, but it's of manageable proportions and there will be the opportunity to work from home on occasions as well, so hurrah for that.

I had the usual cringe inducing send off, but that was mollified by a selection of rather nice wines including a bottle of twenty year old vintage port which will be very much appreciated in this household ... :-)
