After all of the hanging around, I didn't get the job in the end - they went for somebody with more java experience. Other than that, I had some very positive feedback, and it's good to know I can get through an interview without too much trouble. I've also applied for a support role which sounds potentially interesting and another way of getting up to date with the company's current systems and technology, so we'll have to see what happens with that.
