I sometimes dream of
An infinite library
Book gallimaufry

Yes, the writers of Doctor Who have been plundering my subconscious yet again, although fortunately my recurring dreams don't tend to feature ravenous shadow monsters lurking in the darkness. I'll leave all of the speculation about the tantalising glimpses of the Doctor's future to other people, although I did like the not so subtle digs about spoilers.

Anyhoo, last night we had recorded Doctor Who to watch when it was dark so that we could take advantage of the clement weather and get the trusty barbecue fired up to cook lamb chops, chicken and vegetable kebabs, toasted pitta bread and the odd burger or two, washed down with a bottle of Kronenburg weisse bier. Yum.

I still managed to lose another pound when I came to my weigh in on Wii Fit this morning. My usual routine now is a bit of yoga to start with - the crocodile twists seem to have helped with the pain in my shoulder, followed by ten minutes of Super Advanced Rhythm Boxing (1200+ points and 4 stars!), ten minutes of jogging, thirty jackknife sit ups and a couple of slalom runs to finish with. The new Nintendo channel is nifty too, with DS demo downloads and trailers for forthcoming games - Family Ski looks perfect for me, with skiing being yet another of my recurring dreams.

Games wise, GTA IV continues to be excellent, with recent missions featuring a heart pounding motorbike chase through the subway, a shoot out in a natural history museum complete with dino skeletons and ming vases (and a banner outside the art gallery saying 'Come inside and look at our arts!'), and yet another moral dilemma that really gave me pause for thought, even more so when I went to the funeral of the character that I had chosen to kill afterwards. I've also dug out Puzzle Quest which is an infuriatingly addictive mix of rpg and bejeweled. Perfect for 'just one more battle' type of play.

I am currently watching Thunderbird 6, recorded off of Film 4 last night. I hadn't seen it for many years, but it is as good as I remembered. Forget the recent knock off live action movie, this is the real McCoy, with all of the lovingly constructed models, sets and explosions given the widesceen technicolor treatment.

Hurrah - I am a happy bunny today!
