October 1990, a bright sunny autumn day.

"Good Morning Britain" was playing on the radio, a collaboration between Aztec Camera and Mick Jones, if memory serves. My daughter had been born a little while earlier and I was feeding her a bottle of milk in the special care baby unit. I still have a Polaroid picture tucked away in an album somewhere, but I don't need it to recall that moment with complete clarity.

Seventeen years on, and we're about to sit down to pizza (Alicia's choice) and a nice bottle of Cava straight out of the fridge. Chocolate cake is sure to follow ... happy birthday Alicia!
