Apparently, the Papal Nuncio wants the UN to make mockery of religious beliefs an offence against human rights, even if that means restricting freedom of speech to do so. He said that there must not be “insult or unjust defamation nor into offensive mockery of its revered persons, practices, rites or symbols.” Mind you, what can you expect from a church that thought that the Earth was the centre of the universe and took 500 years to admit that Galileo might have had a point after all.
If they really want to wear silly hats and dresses and believe six impossible things before breakfast in the privacy of their own churches, then that's all well and good, but they can't expect the rest of us not to point out the transparency of the emperor's clothes ...
