Cat Burglar

It was four o’clock this morning. I heard a scrabbling from the pergola outside our bedroom window, followed by a thump at the window as Frank the cat launched himself at the open pane and then onto the sill with a thud and thence onto the bed where he had the audacity to start purring loudly. It took me a while to nod off back to sleep before the alarm woke me up at six with another jolt. Tired tired tired.

A busyish morning at work, with the usual niggles with expenses invoicing, that quickly turned to lunch time. I thought I’d nip out to post a birthday present for my dad but it took a bit longer than expected with a queue in the post office and only one window open. Hmmm, good planning there – after all, who would expect people to want to post things at lunchtime, eh?

Fencing tonight was a little subdued, with only me and Charles there with Rick, but it gave us the chance to have a play with some Di Grazzi footwork which developed into some more ideas for the edge eight sequence. It was a little muggy to be too energetic, so we broke early and now I’m home with a well earned cold beer whilst Jan gets cross with Big Brother to the consternation of Barney.

Night all.
