Alicia was determined that she wasn’t going to get fooled this year. She would be on her guard, disbelieving of anything that anybody might say to her.
I knocked on her door a little after ten o’clock and found her still lolloping in her pit of a bed.
“I thought you were watching that preview of the new Doctor Who series on BBC3 this morning?”
She leapt from her bed like a girl possessed and ran into the study where she grabbed the remote control and started paging through the channels. After a couple of presses of the button, she realised that BBC3 doesn’t broadcast in the mornings …
Like shooting fish in a barrel.
In other news, the cherry blossom is out in Animal Crossing. It’s flea market day as well, so a good chance to get rid of some unwanted junk and swap it for other unwanted junk. I’ve packed all of my precious bonsai collection into the cupboard though, just in case somebody tries to buy them.
In other, other news, I’ve been promoted to an associate of the Corleone family, taken over all of Little Italy and started and won a mob war with the Tagliatelle family. I’ve modelled my in game avatar after myself, and I’ve decided that I look quite dashing in a pinstripe suite and Homburg hat, particularly with a pizza restaurant burning down in the background.
